GPX-TF8C-4068

This is a wonderful and particular EA system. The GPX-TF8C-4068 (UCAC4 746-024309 in Cassiopeia) is a Algol-type system with the peculiar RS behavior. The class prototype is RS CVn. These particular stars has an important chromospherical activity and a strong magnetic field. Due the magnetic activity, the most important thing that you can see in the lightcurve is the period of the spot migration wave: 1.296 +/- 0.001 days, similar to the orbital period.

The GPX-TF8C-4068 has been discovered during the GPX survey and submitted to VSX by P. Benni, A. Burdanov, F. Salvaggio, A. Marchini, R. Papini.

Magnitude variations goes from 14.34 to 14.68 V.

Epoch: HJD 2457693.745
Period: 1.30233 d
