Wild Boar Remote Observatory – K49

The Wild Boar Remote Observatory (K49) is located in San Casciano in Val di Pesa (Florence – Italy) at coordinates 43.6812-11.1857. It was born by the will and contributions of Fabio Salvaggio, Riccardo Papini, Massimo Banfi and Giuseppe Marino. It is focused on Asteroids, Variable Stars and Exoplanet research.

The activity is strictly connected with the Astronomical Observatory of University of Siena (K54).

The equipment, right now, is:

  • OTA C9.25″ f/10
  • CCD SBIG ST8-XME
  • CFW-8 with V-R-I Photometric filters, StarAnalyzer and GG-495
  • Mount 10Micron GM-2000 QCI
