UniSi_V110: new RRc discovered

A new RRc star has been discovered from the telescope of Astronomical Observatory of University of Siena.  The star has been discovered in July 2017, with Alessandro Marchini and Riccardo Papini, but we need more help to define the type (at first we were sure about an EW) and the period. Thanks to the help […]

UniSi_V109: new EW system discovered

A new EW system, UniSi_V109 (UCAC4 622-017705, in Auriga) has been discovered with the telescope of Astronomical Observatory of University of Siena and the collaboration of Riccardo Papini and Alessandro Marchini.CRTS Data helped us to better define the period. Amplitude goes from 15.45 to 15.76 CV. Epoch: HJD 2458068.6103Period: 0.279508 d The link to VSX record: https://www.aavso.org/vsx/index.php?view=detail.top&oid=624666

UniSi_V108: new HADS discovered

Another pulsading variable star has been discovered. The UniSi_V108 (CMC15 J203356.5-124254) in Capricornus is a nice and very faint HADS (High Amplitude Delta Scuti star type) discovered in July, 2017 from the telescope of Astronomical Observatory of University of Siena and the collaboration od Alessandro Marchini and Riccardo Papini.CRTS data were used in order to […]

UniSi_V107: new EW system discovered

And it’s time to back in Ophiucus, where in last May, with Alessandro Marchini and Riccardo Papini, using the telescope of Astronomical Observatory of University of Siena, discovered this new EW system: the UniSi_V107 (UCAC4 431-063476).ASAS-SN data were used to fix the period. The magnitude goes from 15.94 to 16.22 V, with a secondary minima […]

UniSi_V106: new EA system discovered

A new EA system in Gemini has been discovered from the telescope of Astronomical observatory of University of Siena. This is UniSi_V106, an EA system observed for the very first time in december 2016 and approved only today after a lot of work. The discovery has been possible with the effort of my brothers in stars […]

UniSi_V105: HADS pulsading star system discovered

A new pulsading star (HADS – High Amplitude Delta Scuti star) has been discovered from the telecope of Astronomical Observatory of University of Siena with Alessandro Marchini and Riccardo Papini. First observation of this star (UCAC4 371-080438 in Ophiucus) was on May, 30 2016. In last months we had a lot of help from Unione […]
