Jupiter – 20180725

It’s been a while… after 13 years, with my friend Fabio Verza, from Milan, we took this image of Jupiter. The seeing was not perfect. But it was a pleasure take an image after all this time.

UniSi_V104: new EW system discovered

A EW new system has been discovered in Aquila: this is the UniSi_V104 (UCAC4 461-085909), worked with the telescope of Osservatorio Astronomico of University of Siena, WBRO and Banfi’s observatory in Novate (MI). The system has been discovered on June, 16 and completed thank to the work of Massimo Banfi, Alessandro Marchini and Riccardo Papini. […]

Exoplanet TrES-4b – 2018-06-19

Here is a transit of exoplanet TrES-4b taken on June 19, 2018 with V filter with oru WBRO (K49). About the set: 300 sec exposition, dark frame and flat field corrections applied. Here are the residuals: good precision on 1.2 mmag!

UniSi_V103: new EW system discovered

After few months passed into bad weather and difficult fields… we back with the UniSi_V103 (UCAC4 458-084855) in Aquila, a nice EW system discovered on last June, 10 by the telescope of Astronomical observatory of University of Siena with the collaboration of Davide Agnetti (Lomazzo), Alessandro Marchini and Riccardo Papini. In order to define period, […]

UniSi_V102: new EA system discovered

A new EA system has been discovered with the telescope of Astronomical Observatory of University of Siena. This is the UniSi_V102 (UCAC4 759-020853) in Cassiopeia, discovered with my brothers-in-stars Alessandro Marchini and Riccardo Papini. In order to define the period, we also used the ASAS-SN survey data. The magnitude goes from 14.68 to 15.20 V […]

UniSi_V101: a new HADS discovered

A new pulsading star (HADS Type) has been discovered with the telescope of Astronomical Observatory of University of Siena. This is the UniSi_V101 (CMC15 J165027.5+015735) in Ophiucus, discovered with Alessandro Marchini and Riccardo Papini In order to define the period, we also used the ASAS-SN survey data. The magnitude goes from 17.1 to 17.4 CV. […]

GSC 04463-01015: EW System discovered

A new EW system has been discovered with the telescope of the Astronomical Observatory of University of Siena: this is the GSC 04463-01015 in Cepheus. In order to define the period, we also used the ASAS-SN survey data. The magnitude goes from the 13.15 to 13,52 V Epoch: HJD 2458084.3164 Period: 0.386547 d The link to VSX […]

UCAC4 760-020518: EB System discovery

Another variable star system discovered! Six in a row! This is the UCAC4 760-020518 in Cassiopeia, a very nica and faint EB system discovered with Alessandro Marchini (Astronomical Observatory University of Siena), me, Riccardo Papini and Massimo Banfi (WBRO -K49) and Claudio Arena. The system is too faint to use survey due to determine the […]

UCAC4 662-020393 – EW system discovered

And again, we did it! This is the UCAC4 662-020393 in Perseus. It’s a really faint EW discovered from the team composed by me, Riccardo Papini, Massimo Banfi, Alessandro Marchini and Claudio Arena. The period was defined better using the ASAS-SN survey data. Magnitude goes from 15.59 to 15.85 V. Epoch: 2458097.3661 HJD Period: 0.374850 d Link […]

UCAC4 552-028220 – EA System discovery

Poker! Another variable star has been discovered by the team composed by me, Massimo Banfi and Riccardo Papini (WBRO – K49) and Alessandro Marchini (Astronomical Observatory of University of Siena). This is the UCAC4 552-028220 located in Gemini, a very nice EA semi-detached system that seems almost an EB system. We covered almost all phase […]
